London 07.21.09

This not sleeping a lot and going all day is starting to catch up to me! Tomorrow we meet at 5:30 am that should be great!! Besides the drowsiness I had a great time today. I saw the British Museum, Sir Soan Museum, and St. Paul’s. The British Museum had so many different things from all over the world. A lot of Egyptian things were on display and I really enjoyed looking at those. My favorite by far was the Africa Gallery and the Life and Death Gallery, The life and death one showed different third world countries and their sicknesses they get. Then it showed all the medication they would have to take. It was interesting to see the different way of life they had and how much better I have it in the U.S. I made more patterns based off of the different things there and took my time looking at displays. St. Pauls was beautiful, I don’t think that it beats St. Peters in Rome though. St. Pauls had a great dome and a more austere interior then the others I saw. We climbed the 530 stairs to the top of the dome and it was a hike. I had to walk up a tight spiral staircase too so by the time I got to the top I was a little dizzy! It was very much worth it once I got to the top and could see so much of London. This is the biggest city I have ever been and I still love the feel it has even though it is crowded with people and buildings.
I also got to go to H&M(the coolest store ever!) Then we were off to the market and since we now have a kitchen in our apartment we cooked our own meal. The spaghetti was delicious and tasted extra good because I didn’t have to pay tons of pounds for it. It was nice to eat off a plate in my own apartment and not have to wait for a waiter. This city has been great and I love being here.
