Paris 07.18.09

It was a very exciting day today. We started it out with going to the Paris Opera House. It was everything I imagined it to be. It had the most beautiful fabrics, furniture, and architectural details to it. The outside is a little bit simpler than I would have imagined, but was great. It was filled with red and gold details everywhere, very classy looking. After our tour of that we headed to the sacred heart, just for the shopping that is by it. There are so many cute shops around Paris, but it is hard to find one that is cheap. We were lucky and found a couple. We lost poor Kylie while there but met up with here afterwards.
After stopping to get a delicious éclair we headed to get on the bus. We as a group went to Fontainebleau. I enjoyed that one a ton, and it was very relaxing. We used earpieces that were programmed to tell you the history. I loved the different colors in each room and and how old it looked. They haven’t done as much restoration to this building compared to Versailles. But I really liked how true it was to its time period. We got in the bus that took us to Vaux Le Vicomte. I think this was one of my most favorite palaces I have gone to. First of all it was a candle lit tour at night, and also the gardens were beautiful. One of the coolest things though were the statues that talked and were so trippy. Mainly because they looked real, but it was just projected on the molded bodies. We didn’t get back home until 1 am!! It was extremely worth it though!!
